UCA Return to School re: COVID-19:
We are grateful to be back in the building for learning today. As always, if your student is experiencing COVID symptoms, please keep them home from school.
Increased Mitigation at UCA:
The following items will be in place until further notice.
Lunch cohorts have been reduced in size and will only include students from individual grade levels. 11th and 9th grade cohorts have been split in two for lunch as they are the largest cohorts.
There will be increased social distancing in chapel.
Monday and Friday meetings will be hosted in the sanctuary to ensure social distancing.
The gym will be closed, except for co-curricular activities. When arriving at school, students should plan on heading to their first classroom of the day. After dismissal, students should leave campus as soon as possible. The building will continue to close at 4:30p, however we ask those who are able to pick their student up earlier, or permit them to walk home if in walking distance, to do so.
School Calendar Changes:
If you have not yet viewed the revised school calendar (in light of delaying our return from Christmas break one week), please do so here. Of special note:
Module 3 will end on Friday, January 21.
Module 4 will begin on Monday, January 24.
The last day of school is now Thursday, June 9.
Graduation will remain on Friday, June 10.
January Open House:
Our next open house is scheduled for next Thursday, January 20 at 6:00 p.m. Enrollment interviews for next year’s 9th grade class (the Class of 2026) are already being conducted. If you know someone who is considering high-quality, Christian education for their student(s), please refer them to register for next week’s open house at weareuca.org/openhouse. All UCA COVID protocols will be followed at the open house.
